How To Use Trophy Rock

  1. 1. Feed Responsibly. Unwrap and properly dispose of the outside packaging to help keep animals and the environment safe.

  2. 2. Choose a Location. Locate an area near natural food sources, water, and/or cover. Keep Trophy Rock away from flowerbeds, shrubs, or trees you want left undisturbed. It will slowly seep into the soil with rain or snow and animals might dig in the ground to reach the leached minerals.

  3. 3. Keep it Elevated. Place Trophy Rock on a stump or large rock. Keeping it out of mud and water helps it last longer and stay fresher.

  4. 4. Add a Wildlife Camera. Consider pairing your rock with a backyard camera! It can elevate your wildlife watching experience and provide fantastic viewing opportunities day or night.

WHY BUY TROPHY ROCK WHEN SALT BLOCKS FROM THE FEED STORE WORK TOO?

Not all salt is created equal! Most salt and mineral blocks have undergone chemical processing and typically include just two to seven minerals. Redmond Trophy Rock is unrefined and naturally contains a complete spectrum of beneficial trace minerals. Animals prefer its natural flavor, and it weathers much better than manufactured wildlife feed and mineral blocks.

HOW DO DEER & OTHER WILDLIFE FIND TROPHY ROCK?

Animals can smell Trophy Rock from quite a few yards away—especially if it’s a little wet! It smells like the ocean when in contact with moisture from dew or rain.

HOW LONG DOES TROPHY ROCK TYPICALLY LAST?

Longevity varies depending on use, setup, and weather conditions. Generally, an elevated Trophy Rock will last between 1-3 months. If it’s sitting in a puddle of rainwater on the ground, it can dissolve in a matter of days. You can expect Trophy Rock to hold up better than typical wildlife feed/mineral blocks.

Why Trophy Rock is different

Trophy Rock is not manufactured, it’s mined. Our minerals are harvested from the crystallized remains of an ancient sea that’s been protected for thousands of years by a volcanic bentonite clay cap. This incredible deposit located in Utah, USA is geologically unique and serves as the foundation for all Redmond mineral supplements.

Redmond’s minerals contain a few different salts. However, one glance at the natural color variation of a Trophy Rock mined from this rich deposit shows there’s so much more packed in our rocks! Learn how we test and discover the full spectrum of sea minerals present in Trophy Rock.
